Fish!
“A Remarkable Way to Boost Morale and Improve Results ”

by Stephen C. Lundin, Ph.D, Harry Paul, and Jonh Christensen
Fish! is a parable about finding the deep source of energy, creativity, and passion that exists inside each of us, by learning to love what we do, even if at the moment we may not be doing exactly what we love.
“There is always a choice about the way you do your work, even if there is not a choice about the work itself!”
You choose the attitude you bring to work each day. That choice determines the way you are at work.
The needs of the organization and our needs as workers are the same. Creativity, passion, flexibility, wholeheartedness…”
“When the student is ready, the teacher appears!”
Lesson 1 - Choose Your Attitude
Each of us makes a decision each day, and each moment. We choose how we want to behave and our attitudes. If we can choose to make each day count, we can live a more meaningful life or have a more rewarding workplace.
Lesson 2 - Play!
Work Hard, Play Hard! Everyone needs to have a good time. Play and have fun working, in order to create a positive and lively environment. At the same time, you will be more productive and extra more job satisfaction.
Lesson 3 - Make Their Day!
Serving customers well will give you the satisfaction that comes to those who serve others. It will focus our attention away from our problems onto how we can make a positive difference to others. This is healthy, will feel good, and will unleash even more energy.
Lesson 4 - Be Present
“The past is history. The future is a mystery. Today is a gift. That is why we call it the present.”
