- Goal: Detect problems in the work products
- Focus: product content; quality control after the fact
- Activities: develop and run tests, check results are correct
- Detecting Defects!
QA - Quality Assurance
- Goal: ensure adherence to processess, standards, plans
- Focus: project prcess, quality assurance built into the product
- Activities: guide and monitor (audit) processes used; review results of tests; ensure tests were done
- Avoiding Defects
